- More than $112 million worth of new investment projects approved in Cambodia in October
In October alone, the Council for the Development of Cambodia approved 12 investment projects worth $112 million, according to the Council for the Development of Cambodia.

- Trade with Hong Kong to see a lift
Economic, trade and investment ties between Cambodia and Hong Kong are expected to grow soon, as Ministry of Commerce leaders pledge to encourage Hong Kong businesses to invest in the Kingdom, to contribute to the recovery of economic growth during and after the Covid-19 crisis.

- PM: Entertainment venues allowed to reopen on Dec 1
Authorities are set to lift restrictions on some “high-risk” businesses after November 30, including nightlife entertainment venues that rely heavily on alcohol sales such as KTV/karaoke parlours, nightclubs and bars, which have all been closed longer than other establishments.

- Cambodia-Japan trade tops $1.75B
Despite ongoing headwinds posed by the global Covid-19 crisis, bilateral trade between Cambodia and Japan maintained positive signs in the third quarter of this year. From January-September, trade between the two countries was valued at a total of $1.75 billion, marking a year-on-year jump of 13.10 per cent from $1.55 billion, according to the Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro).

- Viet Nam flights to Cambodia, 14 countries and territories to resume in first quarter of 2022
Viet Nam’s Ministry of Transport on Monday November 8th, 2021 asked for the Prime Minister’s approval on the three-phased resumption of regular international flights to Viet Nam, with the first phase starting in the first quarter of next year. This includes Cambodia.

- Land Ministry Vows to Achieve 100% Land Registration Nationwide by 2023
The Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction has committed to 100% complete land registration and title issuance nationwide by 2023, while also pledging to continue to effectively resolve and prevent land disputes.

- CCC committed to promoting new investment law to lure investments
The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) says it has proved its commitment to attracting foreign investors by promoting the newly-endorsed investment law. CCC President Kith Meng made the comments in a workshop co-hosted by the CCC and the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) yesterday, attended by some 400 CCC members.

Thailand’s Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited (BCP) has sought investment opportunities in Cambodia, mainly in the oil and energy sectors.

- CVEA: Foreign investors in real estate projected to increase 30% after Chinese new year
President of Cambodian Valuers and Estate Agents Association (CVEA) Chrek Soknim has projected that the real estate market in Cambodia will see significant growth in 2022, especially after the Chinese New Year, with the 30 to 40% increase of foreign investors expected.

- Chinese enterprises embrace opportunities with RCEP taking effect
Su Feili, owner of a foreign trade company in south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was excited when learning that the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement, the world’s largest free trade pact, will take effect on Jan. 1, 2022.
